Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SuperDoorbell handles information when you use the SuperDoorbell Android app, the SuperDoorbell website, and the QR doorbell pages at superdoorbell.com. SuperDoorbell is developed and operated by Maksym Matviychyna.

1. Information we process

Doorbell information

When you create a doorbell, the service creates a unique random doorbell code and a private management secret. The management secret is kept on your device; the server stores only a one-way hash of that secret for verification.

Push notification information

To deliver doorbell alerts, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google. The app receives an FCM device token and sends that token to the SuperDoorbell server so alerts can be delivered to your device.

Email address

An email address is processed only when you choose to use Send QR code. It is used to send your printable QR-code PDF and is stored with your doorbell record until the doorbell is deleted.

Ring information

When a visitor rings a SuperDoorbell through the website, the server records the ring time, a salted one-way hash derived from the visitor's IP address, limited browser/device user-agent information, and technical delivery results for the push notification. The application database does not store the visitor's raw IP address.

Information stored on your Android device

The app stores your doorbell code and management secret, FCM token, mute/alert preferences, and Ring history timestamps locally on your device. Ring history is stored only on the device and is not uploaded as a history list to the SuperDoorbell server.

2. How we use information

Information is used only as needed to provide and protect the SuperDoorbell service, including to:

• create and manage your QR doorbell;
• send doorbell alerts to your Android device;
• send the QR-code PDF when you request it;
• show Ring history on your device;
• limit repeated or abusive ringing and doorbell creation;
• diagnose delivery or server errors and maintain service security.

3. Sharing and service providers

SuperDoorbell does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for advertising. The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate SuperDoorbell:

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications;
• email infrastructure — when you request delivery of your QR-code PDF;
• web hosting infrastructure — to operate the SuperDoorbell website, API and database.

These providers may process technical information required to provide their services under their own terms and privacy practices.

4. Security

SuperDoorbell uses HTTPS for network communication. Doorbell management secrets are not stored on the server in plain text, and visitor IP addresses stored by the SuperDoorbell application are represented by salted one-way hashes. Access to server configuration and service credentials is restricted to the service infrastructure.

5. Data retention and deletion

Server-side doorbell data is retained while the doorbell exists. When you use Delete Doorbell in the app, the server deletes the doorbell record together with associated device registrations, stored email address and server-side ring records. The app also clears the local Ring history and doorbell credentials from the device.

Request deletion of your data

You can delete your SuperDoorbell directly in the Android app by opening My Doorbell and using Delete Doorbell. This deletes the server-side doorbell record together with associated device registrations, stored email address and server-side ring records, and it clears the local Ring history and doorbell credentials from the device.

You can also request deletion by emailing support@superdoorbell.com with the subject Data deletion request. Please include your SuperDoorbell link in the request. We may ask for additional information needed to verify that you are authorized to request deletion of that doorbell. After verification, the associated server-side SuperDoorbell data will be deleted.

You can also remove local app data by uninstalling SuperDoorbell or clearing the app's storage in Android settings. Service providers may retain limited technical or security records according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.

6. Permissions

The Android app requests only permissions needed for its functions:

• Internet — to communicate with the SuperDoorbell server and Firebase;
• Notifications — to show doorbell alerts;
• Vibration — to vibrate for a doorbell alert.

SuperDoorbell does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, SMS messages or phone calls.

7. Website visitors

A visitor does not need to create an account or install the app to ring a SuperDoorbell. The browser page processes only the technical information described above that is necessary to send the ring and protect the service against repeated requests.

8. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when SuperDoorbell features or data practices change. The current version will always be published on this page with its latest update date.
